To use an AeroPress coffee maker, you will need the following items:
An AeroPress coffee maker
Ground coffee beans
Hot water
A mug or cup to brew the coffee into
A stirring spoon (optional)
Instructions:
Begin by heating water to around 175-185°F (80-85°C).
Next, attach the plunger to the chamber of the AeroPress.
Grind your coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency, and measure out the desired amount of grounds. The recommended ratio is 1:15, so for every 1 gram of coffee, use 15 grams of water.
Place the chamber of the AeroPress on top of your mug or cup, and add the coffee grounds to the chamber.
Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, making sure to wet all of the grounds evenly.
Stir the mixture gently with a spoon to make sure all of the grounds are fully saturated.
Place the plunger on top of the chamber, and gently press down until you hear a hissing sound. This will indicate that all of the water has been pressed through the grounds and into your mug.
Remove the AeroPress from the mug, and discard the used coffee grounds.
